April 4th and 5th

Saturday and Sunday April 4th and 5th
General Conference

This weekend is one of my favorites of the entire year maybe to only be compared with Easter and Christmas Sunday. Well this conference was different for a few reasons the major reason being that I am in DC and not at home where it can be enjoyed on multiple channels throughout the weekend. But that challenge was conquered because I was able to see it on TV here. In face we even got to see the in between content that I thought only existed in Utah such as Deseret First Credit Union commercials. So I had a very great Conference Weekend. In fact it even had a girls night thrown in there on Saturday night. I am not going to leave it just as that though. I am going to write about my favorite talks and themes. So for some reason I really cannot put my finger on a specific talk this time that stuck out as my favorite. But I will say that I loved how there were 3 themes that I needed to focus on; they were: we have temples all over the earth lets keep them busy whenever we can, there is a light in the distant tunnel reach that light and then get ready to go back in (AKA endure to the end) , and then the idea of looking forward with faith. The latter of the 3 was probably what I needed to hear the most then in my life. I was at that time refusing to myself that I was going to go home from DC and that I did not want to go back because of different reasons. But this was my moment where I thought okay it has been great but it is time to go on and see what you can do for yourself and hope that your life turns out for the best for you. I am now learning from the past, living in the present and looking to the future with whatever degree of uncertaintey that accompanies this looking forward. This is something that I am still longing to do even now 2 weeks later.
